  1. Explore Patonga Beach

Patonga Beach is one of the Central Coast’s hidden treasures. Secluded away from the main hustle and bustle, the beach is right at the mouth of the Hawkesbury River. Choose to sit back and relax on the beach or go for a stroll along the streets.

If you’re feeling extra energetic, you can go for a hike over the hills between Patonga and Pearl Beach, and check out the views from Warrah Lookout.

  1. Discover Pearl Beach

Pearl Beach is one of the must untouched and pristine beaches on the Central Coast. It’s one of those tranquil places you can visit where all you can hear the waves crashing, birds singing and the trees blowing in the breeze. The family will love the ocean pool, checking out the rock pool and even playing on the playground.

While you’re there, go for a stroll along the paths at the spectacular Crommelin Native Arboretum. It’s a relaxing walk where you see different vegetation such as ancient grass trees and rainforest species.

  1. Kayaking the local lakes

Jump in a kayak and go for a paddle! What better way of exploring the local creeks and waterways than by boat. The kids will absolutely love it and so will you.

Kayaks are available upon requires (with a signed waiver required) directly from Palm Cove Retreat.

  1. Mount Ettalong Lookout

Put on some comfortable shoes, grab a drink bottle and hike up to the spectacular Mount Ettalong lookout. To reach Mount Ettalong lookout, drive along Mount Ettalong Road towards Pearl Beach or go for a stroll from the Southern end of the Umina Beach car park. Make sure you take your camera or phone to grab some pics!
